Her name is Yoshimi! Yoshimi Teresa Lulu Ayers Rusk

The reason I am naming her Yoshimi is that I decided years ago that If I ever have a daughter that I would only allow her to date boys after she got a black belt in a martial arts system preferably aikido or some type of kobudo jujutsu system like daito ryu …

In the Song “Yoshimi” by the flaming lips -the greatest band in the world I’m watching them play, they sing “her name is Yoshimi she’s a blackbelt in karate’!”

This Year at the bonnaroo music and arts festival the Flaming Lips started playing at midnight at the very beginning of father’s day! When they played yoshimi the words “her name is yoshimi she’s a blackbelt in karate” struck a nerve in me and it just felt right!

The girl has two first names and therefore she gets two last names and a middle name too!

She is named Yoshimi her rainbow family name, since both Tiffany Rusk the Mother and Me(Bryn Ayers) are rainbow family she followed the greatful dead when she was in highschool and I followed phish when I was in College!

Teresa is her Christian name! After Saint Teresa of Avila “daughter of Jesus” the catholic saint who along with saint John of the Cross essentially created catholic mysticism, or “Good” Religion! Mystisim = Good Religion,/ Dogma = Bad Religion!

Lulu is her party name! If she doesn’t like any of her first names she can change them when she’s older! But she’s still getting a blackbelt before she can date boys!

Ayers, thats my last name! I’m Bryn Ayers! My Father is Jim, and my mother is Bronwyn!
Rusk is her mother’s last Name! She’s Tiffany Rusk, her father is Paul and Mother Cindy!
Probably legally I will name her Teresa and I might not want to push the “Yoshimi” too much in the courts … Its a cute name and a good name for a Baby!

I’m sure that as a young woman she will go by Teresa instead but its a cute name for a Baby, and it will let people know how cool her dad is(we hope!)
