There has been no adoption as it has been tied up in court while Cody fights to keep his parental rights to his

When the mother was 8 months pregnant Cody learned from a mutual friend she was still pregnant and planning
on giving the child up for adoption in Montana.
Through phone calls and letters he was successful in stopping the pending adoption through LDS Family
Services. After that the mother disappeared and again would not accept his phone calls.
Three weeks after the first failed adoption she was successful in placing the child in Utah through the Adoption
Center of Choice because of the strict laws in place regarding unwed fathers.
The agency retains custody and Cody has never even seen a picture of his daughter. Cody has been fighting to
keep his daughter in his life since before she was born.
We hope to reunite Cody with his daughter whom he desperately wants and change the laws in Utah so this
doesn't happen again.
